MultiMercials™
Competitive Edge introduced the first MultiMercial™, called Golf Shop Live!, in 2004. A MultiMercial™ is typically a 30 minute infomercial in which three, non competing products are presented in eight minute segments with a host introduction, segways and host wrap. For a product that needs more than a 60 second short form commercial but less than a standard 30 minute long form infomercial, the mid form MultiMercial™ offers a cost effective option and unique approach for clients. A MultiMercial™ typically costs a fraction of what a long form infomercial costs to produce, and is an excellent way for some products to be test marketed without the expense and time to create a long form infomercial. Usually, a combination of two TV media formats (long form, MultiMercial™ or short form) is a good way to balance budgets, exposures and give the product the best chance for commercial success on both TV, the web and retail – Our “Call, Click or Come In” strategy for our clients.
Competitive Edge works both directly with clients directly and cooperatively with other media agencies on Multimercial™ production, and can utilize either existing film footage or can start from scratch with a client to create an eight minute segment, called a POD. We recommend production companies who have experience with the MultiMercial™ format and will assist in the administrative and marketing services needed to get your MultiMercial™ on the air. Competitive Edge will manage the placement of media, and direct the reporting, analysis and recommendation.
